AMPCO Safety Tools is deeply committed to manufacturing in the USA. The company was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1914 and has continuously manufactured in the United States since that time.
In 1922 we introduced the AMPCO line of hand tools and last year celebrated 100 years of continuously manufacturing hand tools in the USA. The medallion below, shown in various places on our web site, celebrates one hundred years of manufacturing safety tools in the USA. This is not to say ALL tools are Made in the USA (each tool is noted and qualified if made elsewhere), only that we have continuously made safety tools in the USA since 1914 – and even today, after 100 years, the majority of our tools are Made in the USA.
